JILL FREIFELD, ABCDT
Jill has always loved animals. When she was ten years old, she got her first job taking care of a farmer's plow horses in exchange for free horseback rides. Throughout her childhood and school years, she worked at various private and commercial horse stables and dog kennels. She volunteered as an ambulatory veterinarian's assistant, and after graduating from Mount Holyoke College Jill worked full-time as a veterinarian's assistant.
After moving to Washington, DC to be closer to her family, Jill joined the corporate professional world, working to eventually become the marketing research manager of a large law firm. At that time, doggy daycare and professional dog walking were practically unheard-of.
Although she was successful, Jill wasn't happy. She decided to work at something she loved and figured the money would follow. After trying a few occupations, Jill began petsitting in people's homes on the side. She quickly realized that she missed being with animals full-time, got a job working at a doggy daycare and brushed up on her dog handling skills.
In 2006 Jill started Happy Hound Pet Care and hasn't looked back. In 2009 she graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College and officially became a dog trainer. She volunteered as a training assistant for two years at Your Dog's Friend (a non-profit working to increase awareness of positive training methods). Like all Happy Hound employees, Jill is Red Cross Pet First Aid certified. Jill teaches classes at Happy Hound Club, Happy Hound Pet Care's dog daycare and training facility in Kensington, MD. Jill is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional, Positive Pet Trainers (MAAPPPT), and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).
Jill constantly works to increase her knowledge of various pet-related issues, including animal psychology, pet first aid, canine nutrition and ethology. She is an Animal Behavior College mentor to budding dog trainers currently enrolled in the program.
Jill lives in Silver Spring with her hound mixes Bart & Bella.
JESSICA LAMB, ABCDTJessica has been walking dogs with Happy Hound since 2010. She earned her Red Cross Pet First Aid certification in March, 2011. Jessica walks dogs and petsits in Silver Spring, Kensington and Chevy Chase. She is also a daycare playgroup trainer at Happy Hound Club (Happy Hound's dog daycare & training facility). Jessica is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College's dog trainer program. She helps out with our training clients and group classes as well.
Jessica has cared for a variety of animals over the years, from a 15 lb. mini-schnauzer to a 150 lb. great dane, as well as small exotic pets. Jessica currently lives in Silver Spring with her chinchillas Shoe & Spooky, plus pitbull puppy Remi.
HEATHER MUSZYNSKI 
Heather also joined the Happy Hound team in 2010 and earned her Red Cross Pet First Aid certificaion in March, 2011. She walks dogs and petsits in Takoma Park, Silver Spring and DC. Heather also does Happy Hound's in-home petsitting and dog runs. She has owned and fostered numerous dogs throughout her life, and she's been an amateur petsitter and dog walker for years.
Heather enjoys running marathons and is a classic outdoorsy-type, preferring to use her bicycle to get around town as much as she possibly can. In the past, Heather has studied and worked throughout the U.S., Gambia and Guatemala.
Currently, Heather lives in Takoma Park and she doesn't have any pets of her own (unless you count housemates...).
CRISTINA IZAGUIRRECristina has been with Happy Hound Pet Care since June, 2009. She was the Assistant Manager at Cleverdog Daycare in Silver Spring, MD for seven years before joining Happy hound as a dog walker. Cristina is Red Cross Pet First Aid certified and she earned her Business Administration degree from Sanford Brown College in 2010.
Cristina walks dogs, stays in clients' homes throughout our service area and is the daycare playgroup supervisor at Happy Hound Club.
